The Love Is Blind season 5 couples are inevitably going to be compared to those from previous seasons. When a couple struggles, they’re going to be compared to the many pairs who didn’t make it. Each contestant is different, but fans will want to recall all Love Is Blind couples who split on wedding days. Will we get season 5 couples who we know are wrong for one another, or heartbreaking pairings where they try but can’t work it out? More love triangles, more inappropriate catching of feelings? Or will we get a whole new type of overdramatic implosion?
We won’t be focusing on the couples who didn’t make it to the altar. Once they’ve split there’s not much left for them on the show unless they attach themselves to someone else. Think Diamond Jack from season 1, or Lauren “LC” Chamblin from season 2. Both these ladies experiences messy before-the-altar breaks. They both made it back for Perfect Match but were barely there for a minute. All Love Is Blind Couples Who Split On Their Wedding Days: Season 1

The OG season had some of the wildest altar meltdowns to date. First up is Damian Powers and Giannina Gibelli, where Damian’s predilection for wild women left him feeling overwhelmed by Giannina’s constant loudness. Damian ditched her at the altar and ended up messily pursuing Francesca Farrago at the reunion and on Perfect Match. Fran is engaged to trans boyfriend Jesse Sullivan. Damian is doing another shot-at-love show on OnlyFans (yes, OnlyFans). And Giannina is dating the much more stable Blake Horstmann, and going on podcasts and slamming Damian every chance she gets.
Although Damian and Giannina got back together after he said no on the wedding day, they ultimately didn’t work out (Netflix).
Next comes Jessica Batten and her decade-younger ex-fiancé Mark Cuevas. This time it was Jessica who left Mark at the altar, who was apparently dating other women while on the show. After breaking poor LC’s heart, Mark ended up married to Aubrey Rainey and they have two little boys. Jessica is married, too, to Benjamin McGrath and they have one child together. Finally we have Kelly Chase and Kenny Barnes. Basically, he was never that into her and he basically disappeared after she said no. Apparently they agreed mutually to not get married on the show. But then, Kenny was revealed to be in a relationship with Alexandra Garrison, who he married last year.

All The Couples Who Split On Their Wedding Days: LIB Season 2
Shayne and Nathalie got back together after she said no on their wedding day (Netflix).
Love Is Blind season 2 has the distinction of being the least successful season with all couples broken up as of today after two shocking divorces. Chaotic real estate agent Shayne Jansen, another Perfect Match alum, got ditched at the altar by Natalie Lee. It was revealed that Shayne was still texting fellow LIB castmate Shaina Hurley after committing to Natalie. Shayne continues to live on Instagram and stir various pots, while Natalie has her Out of The Pods podcast with Deepti Vempati. Weirdly Natalie and Shayne dated on and off after the show, even as (per Natalie’s claims) he applied for Perfect Match. As for Deepti, she memorably dumped her pod connection Abishek “Shake” Chatterjee after he told her she reminded him of his aunt.

Mallory and Salvador didn’t make it at the altar on LIB season 2 (Netflix).
Shaina’s ex Kyle Abrams, who split with Shaina before making it to the altar, dated Deepti for a short time, but they split amicably. Deepti has her book, “I Choose Myself”, while Shake and his girlfriend Emily Wilson host the Love Is Blurry podcast. The last couple to make it to the altar and say no was Mallory Zapata and Salvador Perez. Mal and Sal seemed genuinely into one another, but it was Sal who asked for more time in a respectful way. There was very little drama here, but they eventually confirmed they had split for good. Sal is dating actress Jessi Palkovic, and Mal is still single.

All The Couples Who Split On Their Wedding Days: LIB Season 3
Raven and SK didn’t split on their wedding day, but SK said no because they weren’t ready for marriage (Netflix).
By season 3 we were getting into season-by-season comparisons and splits that violently split the fans. There were obvious Deepti-Shake comparisons to Cole Barnett and Zanab Jaffrey‘s angry altar breakup. Even the biggest Cole fan has to concede he was a bit too unserious on the show. But Cole managed to flip the fanbase back on his side when the infamous “Cuties” footage dropped at the reunion. When Zanab went into attack mode afterwards, and Cole appeared to have manned up, it was the polar opposite of the Deepti-Shake dynamic. Now, Cole has gone to therapy, has made a lot of money flipping houses, and is rumored to be dating Susie Evans from The Bachelor. Zanab is… still going after Cole.

By contrast SK Alagbada and Raven Ross had more of the Mark-Jessica or Damian-Giannina vibe. Here, though, there was a clear villain as SK’s altar rejection and secret attachments turned Raven into a sympathy magnet instantly. Raven’s also come out on top as she is continuing to dominate with her Pilates workouts. Meanwhile there is no word on how SK’s legal proceedings against his accusers are going. Finally, we had immature Bartise Bowden say no after Nancy Rodriguez poured her heart out to him. Bartise has carved a trail of destruction since LIB 3 last year, appearing on Perfect Match and becoming a dad under questionable circumstances. As for Nancy, she has reinvented herself as a financial guru and has really used the show as a springboard to better things.

All The Couples Who Split On Their Wedding Days: LIB Season 4
Jackie and Marshall didn’t make it to the altar because Jackie dumped him and started seeing co-star Josh Demas (Netflix).
Season 4 marked the show’s turn to the bizarre. The very strange love story of Paul Peden and Micah Lussier will never get a satisfying explanation. Paul ditched Amber Wilder for Micah in the pods, but Micah was still flirting with Kwame Appiah. Meanwhile, Irina Solomonova was crushing on Paul because Zack Goytowski gave her an ick attack. At the same time Micah’s mean girl friends disliked Paul from the beginning.

Zack ended up having to be Paul’s pro-bono lawyer at the reunion to take apart Micah’s accusations. Now Paul and Zack are buddies, Paul has a new girlfriend, Irina has lost a lot of weight, and Micah is telling everyone she’s never felt happier. Micah’s married “friend” Shelby Tschohl also continues to give her advice, which may impede her ever finding the one.
Meanwhile, Marshall Glaze and Jackelina “Jackie” Bonds called it quits before they even made it to the altar.
