Mildred admitting to domestic violence on a Netflix show?? Sam Mark caring for a crying and gaslit Tiff? Mal Wright levelling her disappointment at Yoly Rojas? Vanessa Papa bringing up Xander Boger and Yoly’s aborted-Hawaii and Coachella trips together? You could do a Top 10 shocking moments from this 45-minute airing of grievances and it still wouldn’t be enough. The one bright spot was Lexi Goldberg and Raelyn Cheung-Sutton talking about how they were preparing for their wedding, but that was not to be, either. We can’t understand what happened to Rae and Lexi’s relationship without understanding Lexi’s villain turn. Starting off strong, calling out Vanessa on her shadiness, Lexi’s controlling tendencies became impossible to ignore by the end. Additionally, the entire world got to see Rae being publicly shamed over what happened with her and Vanessa. Obviously, the fact that Vanessa and Rae were physically intimate and the lack of clear boundaries around that could have wrecked any relationship. But Lexi’s turn to obsessive jealousy and inability to let things go was what crushed any hopes of marriage in the end. We’ve also learned from Rae’s Instagram stories that it was Lexi pushed Rae into appearing on the show in the first place. It’s pretty clear that Lexi only has herself to blame.

It makes total sense that Rae wouldn’t want to stay in a relationship where the other person even makes her doctor’s appointments for her. In an article for Netflix’s Tudum, Rae is explicit about feeling unseen and dominated in the relationship. “When I look back on the relationship, I feel like I lost a little bit of myself. I let her handle so many things,” she says. Rae is working to unlearn all the ways she was made to feel like she should suppress her emotions while growing up. Good for her!
“We were good at the reunion, and then afterwards we were still rehashing things. [Lexi] started a new career and her lifestyle really changed and we were having trouble navigating that and things from the past. It just kind of just got to a point where we couldn’t come to terms on certain differences,” Rae said. Lexi appears to have started an OnlyFans account since the pair went on the show where she shares explicit content, which may have hurt the relationship further.
For Lexi’s part, she says she is in a relationship with someone new. “I found somebody that gives me all of the love and happiness I felt with Mal, mixed with an intimacy that we’re exploring,” she says. Rae and Lexi don’t seem to be enemies. The Tudum article notes they are like “distant cousins” now. Lexi says that she’s now very close with Mal, even calling her family. And the reunion shows her patching things up with Vanessa. Lexi has also branched out into using her reality fame to promote her OnlyFans.
Rae, who is living in Orange County and will move to LA soon, counts Xander as one of her show friends but remains single.
