The finale and reunion episodes of Netflix’s wildly popular The Ultimatum: Queer Love released on Wednesday and they didn’t disappoint fans. Viewers were shocked to learn that Mildred Bustillo and Tiff Der got engaged. Their disastrous end to their relationship, including Mildred’s arrest, although sadly unsurprising, the details were still shocking. Also, Lexi Goldberg and Raelyn Cheung-Sutton getting engaged and suddenly breaking up shortly after the reunion episode had fans wondering when was The Ultimatum Queer Love reunion episode filmed.
In order to create a timeline of the different couples’ breakups after getting engaged in the finale we need to first establish when The Ultimatum: Queer Love filmed, which was between September and Novemeber of 2021. Netflix’s Tudum stated the reunion took place a year later, but didn’t specify the exact date the reunion episode was filmed. None of the show’s cast members have spilled the time it was filmed yet, either. That said, we do have enough information to guesstimate the time it filmed.
When Was The Ultimatum Queer Love Reunion Filmed: Episode Was Pre-Recorded Before Show Released
Tiff released a statement defending themselves against the relentless attacks they faced on the reunion episode from Mildred. In their Instagram statement, they said in part, “I left the relationship in September of 2022…” During the reunion, the way they talked about it, things appeared to have been ended for months. Mildred confirmed that by saying she confronted Tiff four months after their breakup. During the reunion she also talked about Tiff calling her family around Christmas time talking about her dying dog.
So, four months after the September 2022 breakup would be January 2023. Thus, The Ultimatum: Queer Love‘s reunion episode was pre-recorded before the show released on Netflix. It makes sense since the cast members didn’t react at all to the online backlash they’ve been receiving online in the past few weeks. Although we don’t know the exact date when The Ultimatum: Queer Love filmed, it’s safe to say it was in January 2023.
This means Lexi and Rae broke up in early 2023, and Lexi and her new girlfriend, professional photographer Kristin Zancanelli, started dating sometime in the past few months.
“I found somebody that gives me all of the love and happiness I felt with Mal, mixed with an intimacy that we’re exploring. That’s truly what I always wanted when I knew my relationship with Rae was ending — somebody that made me feel the way I felt when I was with Mal and we were walking around San Diego calling each other our wives,” Lexi told Netflix’s Tudum about her fairly new relationship.
