Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 stewardess Mads Herrera and deckhand Chase Lemacks sparked rumors the two are dating after repeatedly sharing Instagram stories together hanging out recently. After nine episodes, Chase doesn’t appear to get along all that well with the rest of the crew while working on Parsifal III in Sardinia, Italy. However, Instagram posts from various cast members tell a different story than the edited BDSY season 4 episodes show. Although Mads ditches First Officer Gary King for Chase’s fellow deckhand Alex Propson on the show per Bravo’s latest preview, Chase and Mads are the ones closest since filming wrapped.

The same night BDSY season 4’s episode nine aired, Chase and Mads ate dinner with Chief Stewardess Daisy Kelliher and what appears to be Chase’s brother or cousin. Daisy was in NYC to guest star on Bravo honcho Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live alongside co-star Alex. They dined at 230 FIFTH rooftop bar where it looked like they could’ve been on a double date. Mads and Chase also explored NYC together, hanging out with comedian Rich Aronovitch.
Previously, a couple weeks ago, Chase posted Instagram stories of him hanging out in someone’s home in Florida with Mads, now age 25, watching the show together.
Before that, the two close friends (or couple?) also took an RV road trip in California together along with Alex and co-star Chef Ileisha Dell.
Perhaps Chase’s Southern charm won over Mads like it did for older Northern Carolinian charter guests Jill Runnion and Lorrie Emory in the hot tub.

BDSY fans weren’t all impressed with Chase trying to “claim” Mads on the show when he started having feelings for her.
“I’m weirded out by all the men claiming the women on the boat as if the women have no choice in the matter. Him pouting and being a [bleep] about not getting to hook up with a crush is gross and annoying,” said one viewer on Reddit with lots of upvotes.

Maybe Chase didn’t get the most flattering edit on the show and he actually had game after all. Fans will likely have to wait for the Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 reunion episode to find out if these two are more than just good friends.
