Below Deck Sailing Yacht Chief Stewardess Daisy Kelliher has entertained fans through the last three seasons of Bravo’s yachtie spinoff show with her witty banter and bubbly positive attitude, despite the rich jerks she has to serve. Although First Officer Gary King continues to lead her on, it looks like she may have found a guy more serious in co-star Chief Engineer Colin MacRae when filming Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4. Kelliher doesn’t just work hard, however, but also knows how to party harder. So, as the chief stewardess in her third season serving charter guests in Sardinia, Italy, here’s everything fans need to know about Daisy from Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

Daisy joined the Below Deck Sailing Yacht franchise in season 2. She rejected an initial offer from the Below Deck production company to star in the inaugural season. However, Kelliher lost her job at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, and she was once again asked to star on the show after production decided to clean house with the boring season 1 crew, except for beloved Captain Glenn Shephard. This time around, without current employment and looking to escape potential lockdowns, Daisy jumped at the opportunity.

“I do have a really good poker face. For me, it just felt normal. I’m at work. It’s my job to put a smile on my face and make these people feel comfortable. I’ve worked in hospitality since I was 16 — working in cafés, shops, and then studied hotel management and worked in hotels, boats — so I’m like, “Don’t you always have to be nice to people at your job?” But it turns out, no, it’s a specific skill to have,” said Daisy in an interview with Rolling Stone.

“I’ve definitely walked in on several guests naked in the bathroom. I don’t really care, but obviously it’s not very professional and it’s not ideal for anyone to walk in on someone naked – that’s probably the most awkward. I’m not a particularly awkward person, but that’s never ideal,” she said to Ireland’s Independent.

Daisy worked on other superyachts around the world over the past decade before joining the show in the middle of 2020. The globetrotter has traveled and/or worked in Melbourne, Australia, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Florence, Italy, Turkey, Greece, Palm Beach, Florida, the Bahamas, Saint Lucia, Hawaii, Alaska, San Francisco, NYC, Boston, LA, Las Vegas, Texas, Colorado, Arizona, Cuba, Barcelona, Spain, Palma De Mallorca, Croatia, Sweden, Russia, Estonia, Budapest, Lisbon, Portugal, Bali, Indonesia, Dominican Republic, Nova Scotia, Canada, Auckland, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Thailand, Antigua, and Mexico.

Since becoming a reality TV star, Daisy’s Instagram following has climbed to over 292,000 fans. The fame has brought her several lucrative endorsement deals as an Instagram influencer for skincare, fitness and fashion. She’s also hosting a workshop in London called A Day With Daisy, where for £280 or $350 USD aspiring yachties can get a crash course on how to get in the industry.
Daisy’s birthday is May 27, which makes her zodiac sign is Gemini. The astrological sign fits her personality perfectly, as she’s a social butterfly who meets new friends all around the world and has an intellectual curiosity. Born in 1988, Daisy’s currently age 35, but will turn 36 years-old in 2023. Daisy’s height is five-foot-seven-inches. She’s only a couple inches shorter than her on-screen flirt buddy Gary.

For Daisy, yachting runs in her blood. Her grandfather, Eddie Kelliher, was a member of the Royal Irish Yacht Club in Dun Laoghaire and competed in the 1964 Olympics in Tokyo Japan, per Irish Examiner. Her mother, dad, cousins, and other extended family members all worked in yachting, too. Daisy’s dad encouraged her to pursue a career in the boating industry because he believed she would really enjoy it. Judging by all the amazing sights and incredible people she’s met over the years he was right.
Fans may recall Daisy does have one tattoo, but it’s hidden and pretty humorous and clever. Inside her lower lip she has “[bleep] Off” tattooed. “I think in our job, because I have to do the whole sweetness and nice thing, I love knowing that it’s secretly there.”

Daisy attended boarding school and shared a bedroom with her sister growing up in Dublin, Ireland. Her melodious Irish accent has charmed many of the guests. She even went skiing in Aspen, Colorado, last year with returning BDSY Primary Charter Guest Jim Blumenthal and friends.
In her spare time, Daisy loves snowboarding, yoga, kite surfing, wakeboarding, drinking and sunbathing with friends on the beach or poolside.

As of 2023, Daisy is trying to reduce the amount of yachting work she does, spending more time at her flat in London, as well as seeing family and friends more regularly. She recently went on a week-and-a-half-week vacation with her parents, relaxing in Antigua and Saint Martin.

“I’m just really good at partying and being professional. I’m Irish so I can tolerate my alcohol, and I’m a really good drunk — I’m not a negative drunk, and it has quite a positive effect on me. I handle my hangovers well. But I definitely do still stuffer,” Kelliher said in her Rolling Stone interview.

Daisy made life-long friends with her two stewardesses from BDSY season 2, Brazilian Dani Soares and Australian Alli Dore. The three yachtie besties even started a podcast together, called Pita Party, where they talk about the latest Below Deck drama. She’s also close with co-stars Gary and Colin, as well as season 3 star Chef Marcos Spaziani. She’s even helped promote Spaziani’s LA restaurant by bartending events there.

Daisy’s Ex Boyfriends, Dating Colin Or Gary? Is She Retiring From Yachting?

After Daisy’s long make-out session with Gary in the hot tub on BDSY season 3, fans wondered if they were dating. The suspected couple, shipped by fans, fueled speculation by posting pictures together in LA and at an amusement park on Instagram. Furthermore, for the reunion on season 3 they both livestreamed from Daisy’s London apartment. Even more incriminating, Daisy wouldn’t deny sleeping with Gary on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live.
Nevertheless, the two continue to only be friends because Daisy can’t take the lascivious sailor seriously. With Colin and Daisy kissing on season 4, fans also wondered if these two yachties were dating. However, Daisy told E! News she’s single and at the very least not in an exclusive relationship.
“It definitely puts… some challenges for all of our friendships. My friendships with the boys, the boys’ friendship with each other. I don’t know why it gets complicated but it does,” Daisy said in an interview with E! News about her fooling around with Colin.

“I can have my own life and it not be about you. So for me it was a little frustrating and again leading to some awkward conversations. Like I don’t know what to tell you, this has nothing to with you,” Daisy said about Gary’s jealousy.

Before BDSY, Daisy had her own issues dating guys. In season 2, Daisy said, “I have definitely fought over a guy. In university, my roommate slept with my boyfriend. I found out through messages, and we were like best friends. And it does [bleeping] suck knowing you weren’t good enough.”

She also recently divulged another previous bad romance which gave her the push to get into yachting. “I was dating this guy, and I was actually the bit on the side, I didn’t know this. He actually had a girlfriend who was in our same department… so it would be like the equivalent of Gary going 0ut with Lucy, and I was the bit on the side and didn’t know. We all worked really closely together and he convinced me to keep it a secret.”

At the beginning of season 4, Daisy said her younger self picture herself married with two kids by her current age. She recently said she’s cutting down on working as a yachtie to stay more anchored at home. Fans wonder if she has plans of settling down and starting a family. Daisy recently addressed working in yachting for 11 years now, and if she’s thinking of calling it quits in the industry or the show.
