Fans didn’t get to see much of Below Deck Adventure‘s Michael Gilman in the trailer of Bravo’s latest spinoff of its yachting reality TV franchise. When a stew asks Deckhand Michael what his diet is while he’s eating junk food, he answers seriously, “Glazed doughnuts and Oreos.” The rest of his time aboard superyacht Mercury is a mystery to viewers until the premiere airs on Bravo on Nov. 1 at 8 p.m. EST. However, Michael Gilman’s Instagram gives us some idea of idea of his personality. Michael’s Bravo bio also suggests he may quit or get fired from the show. Here’s everything fans need to know about Deckhand Michael from Below Deck Adventure season 1.

Deckhand Michael Gilman’s Instagram reveals he’s a big fan of traveling, spending time with family and friends, and going to Walt Disney World. Clues Deckhand Michael Gilman Quits/Gets Fired From Below Deck Adventure Season 1
Many Below Deck fans believe Deckhand Kyle Dickard must be the crew member who gets fired on Below Deck Adventure in Norway. In the trailer he clashes with Bosun Lewis Lupton and gets dressed down by Captain Kerry Titheradge. Diehard fans already know that one deck crew member leaves superyacht Mercury early. (It’s safe to say it won’t be the other deckhand, Nathan Morley, leaving early, because he has photos from the entire time on the show.) Below Deck Adventure‘s production posted a deckhand job posting on Instagram midway through the inaugural charter season. However, the clues outside of the trailer suggest it’s actually Michael Gilman who departs his crewmates early.
“While he loves the water and travel, he struggles to keep up with the demands of a motor yacht. With pressure from his deck team and cross-department drama, Mike must decide if the ‘white boat’ life is made for him,” ominously reads Michael’s Bravo bio. Michael only started working on commercial vessels for around six months before he joining the Below Deck Adventure cast. Meanwhile, troublemaker Kyle has five years of experience as a yachtie.
Fans will have to wait to find out if Michael or Kyle is the deckhand who gets fired after Below Deck Adventure starts airing on Bravo on Nov. 1 at 8 PM EST.
