Below Deck Adventure‘s Captain Kerry Titheradge is yet another Australian captain joining the franchise after Below Deck Down Under‘s Captain Jason Chambers made his debut. In the show’s trailer Captain Kerry explains his style as “letting the crew know they have my support, but I’m not a helicopter dad.” However, Captain Kerry will have to deal with some insubordination from within the Below Deck Adventure cast early on with one of his deckhands, according to Bravo. Here’s everything fans need to know about Below Deck Adventure‘s season 1 Captain Kerry, the sixth captain of the Below Deck franchise.
“Our job is to give them the adventure of a lifetime,” said Kerry about charter guests coming aboard superyacht Mercury in Norway.
Below Deck Adventure‘s Capatain Kerry Is A Family Man Who Lives in Florida With Two Kids
Captain Kerry moved to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, several years ago. He lives with his two kids, an older son and younger daughter, and his partner. Titheradge is originally from the Australian Outback. He previously worked “crawling through roofs, dodging killer snakes and killer spiders” he told Entertainment Weekly.
Captain Kerry’s age is mid-to-late forties and he celebrates his birthday on December 11, according to his Facebook account.

Kerry’s Instagram reveals he likes to spend time on his own jet boat, taking friends and family tubing. His Instagram also includes some pictures and videos of him in Alesund, Norway, while filming for Below Deck Adventure.
Captain Kerry has over 30 years experience working on boats, and over two decades working in the yachting industry. He’s worked as a captain for 20 years. He’s previously sailed in the same waters as Captain Jason. He studied at the Australian Maritime College.
“I ended up seeing this job in the newspaper, to be a deckhand on a parasailing boat,” Kerry said about his first job on a boat.
“The way I run is a vessel is I’m firm but fair. I know that people tend to push boundaries, but if you push them too far you’ll know all about it,” Captain Kerry told his crew in Below Deck Adventure episode 1.
After that, he’s worked on vessels in the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, and the Pacific Northwest, but Norway was his first time sailing the Nordic seas.
“It’s a world heritage area,” Captain Kerry explained in his Entertainment Weekly interview of the Nordic seas unique challenges. “They’re very strict on where you can anchor. If you can imagine, like, the depth of the fjords is like the Himalayas, and I’ve got to drop my anchor on Mount Everest. If it slides off Mount Everest, I can’t get it back up again.”
In another interview Kerry said one of the biggest challenges was finding a place to anchor.
