Physical 100‘s Woo Jin-wong came out of nowhere when he won Quest 4’s The Tail of Ouroboros to make to the final five competing for 300 million won. The professional CrossFitter and snowboard instructor didn’t have the highest profile throughout the competition before his big win tagging out musical actor and model Jang Han-saem. He first won his one-on-one death match, then joined Choo Sung-hoon‘s team for Quest 2’s Moving Sand. After they handily won their match, they allied with Jo Jin-hyeong‘s team to win Quest 3’s wooden ship dragging challenge.
Now that Woo Jin-wong ran his way to victory and the final five, here’s everything fans need to know about the potential winner of Netflix’s Physical 100.
Physical 100‘s Woo Jin-wong Was A Pro Snowboard Racer Before Becoming A CrossFitter
Woo Jin-wong’s Instagram reveals the CrossFitter competed as a professional snowboarder before coaching. He won three national snowboarding championships before coaching snowboarders. He competed in snowboard cross, where competitors race over jumps and turn tight corners. Despite being the first national team athlete for the sport, Woo Jin-wong still didn’t qualify for the Olympics. He’s now training the future generation to hopefully get the first Korean to qualify for the Olympics in that snowboard cross.
The Physical 100 finalist competed all over the world in countries like Switzerland, Canada and Chile. Now Woo Jin-wong is hooked on CrossFit, competing and winning competitions. He’s also religious about going to gym and training super hard. The thrill-seeker also enjoys mountain biking, hiking and surfing.
Woo Jin-wong splits his time between training for CrossFit competitions and training snowboarders. His workout regiments are intense, he can squat over 300 lbs!
Woo Jin-wong appears to be single per his IG, but he’s got a special place in his heart for his pet wiener dog Mikey.
When he was younger, Woo Jin-wong served in the military, which is mandatory for all South Korean males.
