After the first season of Perfect Match, fans were praying for some kind of payoff. After the insane partner switches, someone was going to get married, or be in some sort of lasting relationship, right? That’s why fans cheered when Joey Sasso finally got over himself and took a knee to propose to Kariselle Snow. Broey Joey had been the Joker to Kariselle’s Harley Quinn for years. They had been a loud and chaotic situation and dated on and off for sometime before the show. During the insanity that was Perfect Match, they proved to be the longest running couple.
They didn’t end up winning – that “honor” went to Georgia Hassarati and Dom Gabriel. Even so, to go from calling each other their “perfect matches” to calling it quits was quite the letdown. Are they up to anything worth mentioning? Let’s dig into Perfect Match: What Happened To Joey and Kariselle Post Show.

27-year-old Joey says his main priority after Perfect Match has been focusing on his sobriety. There’s also his OnlyFans, but you can go find that yourself because we’re not linking to that icky content. But back to his sobriety: on May 11th, he reached his 900 days of sobriety milestone. He showed up on the Sober Celebrities Instagram and spoke to them about being in denial. Perfect Match co-star Chloe Veitch also makes an appearance on Joey’s Instagram, where it’s revealed she was on her own sobriety journey. Joey just celebrated hitting 900 days sober. He recently said he was “a liar, cheater and scumbag” before combating his addiction.

Joey may be done with substances, but he’s by no means done with crazy reality shows. He recently announced that he would be part of The Goat, slated to drop on Amazon Freevee at a date TBD.
The cast of this ambitious crossover is even more insane than Perfect Match. Drag queen Alyssa Edwards from RuPaul’s Drag Race, Love Is Blind’s Lauren-Speed Hamilton, and Vanderpump Rules’ Kristen Doute are just three of the show’s big names. From his socials, Joey is beloved by his reality show friends. This is likely why he was selected to complete in this reality Olympics. Since the last time we checked in, Joey’s behind the scenes Perfect Match YouTube show has grown to two whole episodes. We hear a lot about producers and minders on these Netflix shows, so if you ever want to meet Joey’s handler Zoe, this is your chance. Joey also attended the ill-fated Love Is Blind reunion, celebrated his mama’s 60th birthday, and took a random trip into the desert.
Perfect Match: Kariselle’s Wild Ride

Kariselle, who is 27, is focusing on her singing career. She actually joined a rock band, Coming Alive, in late February and she’s their new lead singer. You can catch her giving a rendition of Evanescence’s Bring Me To Life that is definitely one of the cover versions of all time. The band will be playing at the Jersey Pride parade, so catch them if you’re in town. Kariselle has also continued her pageantry and LGBTQ+ activism. She blended the two as the 1st runner up and Miss Photogenic at the Miss Delware USA pageant. And although she and Joey are splits for good (so they say), they can still be found commenting on each other profiles.

Like Joey, Kariselle has been spending lots of time with her Netflix realityverse star friends. She showed up in a pic with Bliss Goytowski Poureetezadi, Deepti Vempati, Bartise Bowden (of course) and Kwame Appiah. Kariselle showed up in style to the premiere of “Luther: The Fallen Sun” where she linked back up with castmate Ines Tazi. She also reconnected with her Baltimore Ravens NFL promotional team, the Playmakers, for a promotional shoot.

Joey has definitely outshined Kariselle when it comes to showing up on podcasts and interviews. The main topic is his sobriety journey and how he spends his day. On the Not The Girl Next Door Podcast, he says, point blank, that we “will not see him on another dating show.” Sure, Joey. Host Meg Reynolds asks him about his addiction journey, he admits that he thought that “sobriety was going to fix everything” so at least he understands that he still has a lot to work on maturity-wise. He says “he still has X amount of issues,” which is great to hear he’s aware of what he still needs to work on. On The Check Up Podcast, he says “I was in the best shape of my life and looked the best that I looked when I was at my lowest.”
Kariselle hasn’t been completely out of the interviewer’s chair, however. On Zachary Reality‘s YouTube show from some months back (but after the show) she said, “It was such a happy time, and the finale was one of the best times of my life.” So, she was honestly happy on the show. She shot down rumors that the engagement was faked for TV. She revealed that Joey got her number in 2020 when Netflix reality was still new after The Circle dropped. When the Sexy Beasts premiere happened, she reveals that “he was telling everybody that he was my boyfriend,” which was the second time that Joey ghosted her. “He would always just call me like nothing happened,” she says.
We’ll hold out hope for either Joey or Kariselle to finally find their person. But maybe they both need a self-actualization journey before find the right one.
