Below Deck S11: Barbie Praised Fraser, Shades Xandi & Cat On WWHL

Below Deck season 11 stewardess Barbie Pascual dispelled rumors she’s getting fired by Captain Kerry Titheradge this season while on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live. The Bravo kingpin and Barbie hit it off, with him guessing the sassy Latina wants to be a real housewife. Barbie praised Fraser a bunch on the show and threw shade at her fellow season 11 stewardesses, Xandi Olivier and Cat Baugh.

Accompanied by fired bosun and former crush Jared Woodin, Barbie looked radiant and showed incredible poise and grace while on the show.

“I’ve learned from Fraser a lot, actually, he’s an amazing teacher… I think he’s intelligent, classy, and a perfectionist,” Barbie told Andy about her time in filming in Grenada on superyacht St. David.

“Fraser’s work is impeccable. If I had to pick for somebody to by my chief, it would be Fraser because he’s amazing,” Barbie added about how much she respects her boss, Chief Steward Fraser Olender. “Fraser’s fun, he loves to have a good time. I just love his accent, too.”

However, she did have one criticism for the gay British yachtie. “He could be a lot nicer to me.” She said she saw herself as one of Roald Dahl’s fictional characters. “I’m like Matilda. I’m doing the best, but my family’s not seeing it.”

Barbie even put her big ego aside, saying she wouldn’t be a better chief stew than Fraser. “I think I wouldn’t, actually.”

It looks like later on in the season Fraser and Barbie bury the hatchet and end up being friends. “We fight, but we love each other.”

That said, Barbie still had some of her now infamous attitude for her other original interior crew. She told Andy she’s most likely never going to text South African brunette Xandi ever again. She also picked Cat as the person she’d most not want to work with again out of the Below Deck season 11 crew.

“Watching back, I’m shocked. I know I have an attitude, I live in my truth, so I think the truth is totally fine. But when I watch back, I’m like whoa. It’s a lot. It’s a big attitude. It needs to get checked. And I’m checking it,” Barbie said, taking ownership her insubordination towards Fraser. She even admitted she was wrong to take 30 minutes on a margarita by looking to add freshly squeezed orange juice.

“It was a lot. Yeah, she was like really thirsty. And I was just pushing the orange juice case. It made no sense. It was delusional.”

Below Deck fans found Barbie’s persona on WWHL refreshing and some even see her as a good replacement long-term chief stew who could fill the major empty space missing once Kate Chastain quit the show after Below Deck season 7.

“Barbie was great on the show. Very self aware and fun. Ben can go away, Barbie can stay,” read a top comment on a Reddit thread praising the new stewardess.

Andy didn’t ask Barbie at all about her previewed boatmance with deckhand Kyle Stillie.
