When filming Below Deck season 11 photos leaked of crew on location back in the middle of February 2023, including Captain Lee Rosbach’s replacement at the helm, Below Deck Adventure season 1‘s Captain Kerry Titheradge. Fans also discovered then that Grenada, an island in the West Indies of the eastern Caribbean Sea, is where Below Deck season 11’s crew set sail for the latest charter season. The preview revealed some stunning views off the coast of Grenada, including beaches, exquisite underwater scuba diving locations, jungles, and waterfalls, where the crew took the charter guests on board superyacht St. David. So, where did Below Deck season 11 film around Grenada, and when? Look no further than here for all the filming locations.
“Grenada is a stunning location. But it’s very, very challenging. The winds are incredible. A lot of reefs in the area. Many of them are not marked. It’ll slice you open like a tin can,” Captain Kerry explained on the first episode.
When Did Below Deck Season 11 Film?
In the Below Deck season 11 preview, a charter guest tells Chief Steward Fraser Olender that “Steven wants a New Year’s kiss from you.” The background also shows a Santa decoration, so may think they started filming in late 2022. However, they actually started filming in the middle of February and ended filming at the end of March. Photos of stars on location leaked on Reddit when they were still filming in March. Each Below Deck season typically takes six weeks to film. Also, some Below Deck season 11 cast members posted photos of themselves in Grenada in February 2023.
Furthermore, the second group of charter guests, including Co-Primary Charter Guests Steven and Tara Damen, posted pictures while on their superyacht vacation in the middle of February 2023.
Where Below Deck Season 11 Filmed In Grenada Locations
Grenada is the main island of a nation consisting of several islands. The other two main islands are Carriacou and Petite Martinique. Captain Kerry will likely take charter guests to the other islands on their charters. The main island is also know as “the island of spice” because of its high production of nutmeg and mace.
On the premiere episode, the home harbor of Port Louis Marina was revealed to viewers. The port is right next to St. Georges, the capital city of Grenada.
In the first episode, Captain Kerry took the hot-tub hookup charter guests by the stunning Le Phare Bleu villa resort where lots of sailing boats and superyachts like to anchor.
The hot tub hookup co-primary charter guests and their friends loved Le Phare Bleu on the first charter. The crew then went to The Aquarium Restaurant for the first crew night out to eat and party by the beach after the first charter ended. The menu at the first resto offered a bevy of seafood options.
On episode 3, Captain Kerry and the crew took Co-Primary Charter Guests Steve and Tara Damen to renew their wedding vows, as well as get their friends married, right next to a waterfall near Halifax Harbour. Captain Kerry — as an ordained minister — married the one couple and renewed the vows of the other two couples by waterfalls in stunning Grand Mal among the jungle foliage. The wedding and renewal of vows took place at stunning Annandale Falls.
On the second crew night out, Captain Kerry joined the rest of the cast for dinner at 61 West Restaurant and Beach Bar. At dinner, Jared Woodin got embarrassingly drunk, which ruined his shot of dating Barbie Pascual.
The Concord Waterfall and nearby chocolate factory are likely places some charter guests visited in later episodes, as it’s a top attraction on the island. Other guests likely enjoyed Flamingo Bay, scuba diving at Underwater Sculpture Park alongside sea turtles, stingrays, and eels.
Superyacht St. David likely docked at several harbors in Grenada, but we’ll have to wait and find out all the locations the crew and charter guests explored.
