The Big Brother 25 production team are facing challenges with houseguest Blue Kim‘s 33 tattoos and copyright laws, apparently. The editors on BB 25 blurred Blue’s tattoo on episode 8, likely due to not having the rights to show it on national TV. At the beginning of August 20’s episode the Family Style/Handful alliances consoled each other after Reilly Smedley‘s eviction. Blue’s big tattoo of a women with blood pouring out of her eyes on her left arm was repeatedly blurred throughout the episode. But the same large graphic tattoo was visible in other scenes.

“It is usually because they have to clear the tattoo with the artist that created it. Since it is a slog to do that (I do this for a living) they just blur it out,” said one Reddit user about the blurring of Blue’s tattoo.
Blue’s apparently “offensive” tattoo visible for a couple seconds from a distance on BB 25’s episode 8 (CBS).
However, another superfan pointed out that it isn’t blurred or bandaged up like Matt Klotz‘s tattoo for the Deaflympics/Olympics which definitely ran into copyright issues.
“Seems like it’s just covered to prevent people from being scared/offended. That also explains why it’s on the feeds (and thus not bandaged up),” said the astute fan. The tattoo is large and CBS was likely getting complaints from some squeamish viewers.

If copyright were an issue, you’d think some of Blue’s other 33 tattoos would also need to be blurred or bandaged up then, too. Blue looks like she went on a tattoo binge after the pandemic hit. Photos before that show her with next to now tattoos on her body.

Now, Blue had two big red tattoos on her her upper legs of a butterfly and a anatomically accurate heart. She also has a couple of small tattoos of cats and a of a family of parents and kids. She has a little wave on her waist and a tribal tattoo on her one upper arm. On her left arm where her one tattoo is getting blurred out, Blue also has two other tattoos, one of a pair of boots and another of two cherries.
Blue inflated her 33 tattoo number a bit by getting nine tattoos on her hands, including the word “honey”, a red heart, two red lines, and a little fire tat.

Perhaps possible showmance boyfriend Jared Fields will use this as another strike against dating her. Fans are bashing Jared, his mom Cirie Field and Felicia Cannon for shaming Blue over her past sexual history.
