Love Is Blind's Micah Apologizes For 'Emotional Immaturity' Shown

Love Is Blind season 4 mean girl Micah Lussier publicly apologized for the “emotional immaturity” she demonstrated on the Netflix show. The gorgeous blonde from Seattle stunned fans when she and her accomplice sidekick Irina Solomonova viciously dissed the other girls behind their backs in the pods. The two mocked Micah’s rival Amber Wilder as a “loser” for having a Mardi Gras-themed date. Micah also angered fans for her disrespect towards her fiance Paul Peden, as well as Chelsea Griffin, when she and Kwame Appiah shamelessly flirted poolside at the resort in Mexico. To top it off, the previews show Micah hitting on Kwame back in their home city of Seattle, too.

Micah definitely regrets some of the moments played back to her since Love Is Blind season 4 began airing on Netflix.

On Tuesday, March 28, five days after the show started airing, Micah posted an Instagram story with an apologetic statement.

“I have a apologized privately to the people that were hurt on the show by my hands. I would like to apologize publicly. An emotional immaturity was shown and I will grow from it,” Micah said at the start of her written statement.

“To the viewers I’ve hurt. I’m sorry I’ve triggered so many of you with my behavior. Seeing that person on the screen would make me feel the same anger.” She signed off the message by promising to do better in the future.

Micah, before watching the Love Is Blind season 4 episodes, defended her actions in an interview with Entertainment Weekly as a way to cope being on a reality TV show.

“For us, it was really helpful to have a little sense of normalcy. Being able to laugh and make light and make jokes and, well, maybe sometimes the jokes didn’t land or maybe it didn’t look the best, but we needed that in that moment to feel like a normal person.

“Because you’re a part of this experience that is so beyond words. To be able to make a little bit of light out of such a hard thing was really helpful.”

Micah, age 26 while on the show, also excused their behavior due to her and Irina being young.

“[Irina] and I are both in our mid-twenties. We’re just doing the best we can do. We just have to grow up from our mistakes.”

Micah also let viewers know she turned off her Instagram comments so that she can “protect” her mental health, something she says she always struggled with. She said she is “taking accountability privately”.

Fans are wondering if Micah will take accountability publicly on the Love Is Blind season 4 reunion episode, too.

Micah also explained her apparently hitting on Kwame in the pool.

“I think, you know, how I communicate with people is very flirty, and maybe like touchy. That’s just how I am,” Micah told Narcity. “I was just happy to see that he was happy.”
