Below Deck Adventure season 1 charter guests Shelby and Jodie Turner have quite the itinerary on their preference sheet to see spectacular locations of Norway. The lesbian couple from Colorado hosted their friends on superyacht Mercury to celebrate their engagement. While in Norway, Shelby, Jodie and friends took a helicopter ride and rappelled down a cliff.
The lesbian community is well-represented on Below Deck recently. Lesbian pro athlete power couple Gigi Fernandez and Jane Geddes just appeared on Below Deck season 10. After Captain Lee Rosbach had to abruptly leave Below Deck season 10 for health issues, Below Deck Med‘s Captain Sandy Yawn took over the helm.
Below Deck Adventure Charter Guests Shelby & Jodie Got Married After Show
Shelby and Jodie said “I do” at their wedding at their September 2022 wedding. They got married about a year after going on Below Deck Adventure, which filmed in the late summer of 2022. Shelby and Jodie invited their close friends and family for the big day.
The two live in Colorado, often exploring the wilderness with their two Husky dogs. They like to hike and camp in places like Eleven Mile state park. Shelby’s Instagram reveals they enjoy traveling, fishing and snowboarding.
Jodie’s Instagram shows she’s a big fan of watching football, including the New England Patriots and the Seattle Sea Hawks. She also appears to coach flag football and is a fan of LSU’s football team. The Coloradan also attended the Women’s World Cup in 2019 in France.
Jodie proposed to Shelby in May, 2021.
Jodie & Shelby’s Charter Guest Friends On Below Deck Adventure
Joining the then-engaged couple on Below Deck Adventure were friends Michael Buckley, Stacey Koehler, Lisa Lefkowitz, Hannah Marsh, “Colorado” Katie, and Mary Lou McMenamy.
It looks like charter guest Michael kept himself out of trouble.
“In my journal, I reminded myself – yes this is a vacation but first and foremost they are filming a reality show and we are extras – so not to overthink it. Just show up, be present and grateful and have so much fun! I did,” Michael said on his Instagram. Some Below Fans may recognize Michael Buckley from YouTube. He used to be one of the most popular vloggers on YouTube last decade, with his channel What the Buck!? that has almost a million followers. Michael recently spoke to Perez Hilton about quitting his YouTube show.
While in Norway, Shelby and Jodie had the crew dress up in drag and they traveled to Norway’s Valderoya to take a helicopter up a mountain that they then rappelled down. Fans will have to wait for the next two episodes to air to find out what else happened while these thrill-seeking charter guests joined Captain Kerry Titheradge and crew.
