Love Is Blind S6: Laura Responded To Bean Dip Comment Backlash

Love Is Blind season 6 cast member Laura Dadisman got a deluge of of angry messages and nasty comments on the Internet after fans of the show saw her make a joke they found in poor taste. Laura told her fiancé Jeramey Lutinski to “bean dip” (flick the breast) of co-star AD (Amber Desiree Smith) while they were on a romantic getaway in the Dominican Republic. The Internet exploded with fans blasting Laura for overly-sexualizing a Black woman. Laura responded to the bean dip online backlash over the weekend, asking for people’s understanding it was an innocent joke.

“She’s taught me about, what is it, ‘bean dip’?” Jeramey said in front of AD and her fiancé Clay Gravesande. “She told me that you would know what that is.”

“She told me to do it to you. And I’m like, ‘I’m going to get [bleeping] canceled,'” Jeramey said to AD.

Then AD explained to Clay what the bean dip reference was from. “A bean dip is like this [bleepy] smack. Like a [bleeping bleepy] smack. She smacked the [bleep] out of my [nipples].”

Clay was in disbelief.

“She’s wild. She told me to do that. I’m like, ‘What is wrong with you?'” Jeramey said, throwing his fiancée under the bus.

AD was shocked Laura asked her man to do that to her.

“You did say, ‘Bean dip AD,'” Brittany Mills said when she and Laura joined the awkward conversation.

“In a joking way!” Laura insisted while laughing.

“I cannot with these men. Trying to make something out of nothing,” Laura then told AD once they left the guys.

AD then said it wasn’t appropriate and made things uncomfortable for Clay. Laura then said it was Jeramey’s fault for bringing it up in front of them.

“I mean, yeah, nothing to you, but something to him,” AD said.

“It’s giving children. It’s giving small child vibes,” Laura said about Jeramey’s behavior.

Reddit users blew up a post calling out Laura for “racism and microaggressions” in which the original poster wrote in part, “Laura pretended to play dumb and act like this was some ‘hilarious bit’ and then even feigned anger, like she had a ‘right to be upset’ because AD wasn’t comfortable about hearing that her ‘friends’ and cast members in the pods, were ‘joking’ about GROPING and sexually assaulting her.”

“She’s been sexualized in a way no white contestant would ever be. The microaggressions are INSANE this season,” another fan chimed in. Laura also faced a lot of backlash in the comments on her Instagram account, too. She responded over the weekend with a statement in her Instagram stories.

“This week has been a wild ride to say the least and thank you to everyone who has shown so much love and support. For everyone else, PLEASE remember that this is a TV show with thousands of hours of footage, trimmed down to a few moments. Not everything is going to be shown or explained in full context. We’re real people, not actors or characters, who simply went on a show to hopefully find love,” Laura explained on her social media.

Laura Dadisman’s response to the online backlash she faced for her bean dip comment after Love Is Blind season 6 started airing on Netflix (Instagram).

“We’re all human who will make mistakes but, no matter what is shown or portrayed, I love every single one of these woman to my core and will forever support them in any way possible. Please Keep this in mind and remember to be kind,” she added.

Despite the minor confrontation, it seems it affected her relationship with Jeramey more than AD. Jeramey appears to cheat on Laura with co-star Sarah Ann after things started to turn south after the bean dip debacle. Meanwhile, AD commented on Laura’s latest Instagram post with two martini emojis. The two women co-stars still follow each other on Instagram and appear close.
