The Ultimatum fans are dying to know what happened to couple Nathan Ruggles and Lauren Pounds after the show.
Nate proposed to Lauren on the second episode of the Netflix hit show. Nate got down on one knee because he worried “big cheese” Colby Kissinger could win over his girlfriend and would always be “pushing the envelope”. Before Lauren could say yes to Colby offering to spend three weeks with her, Nathan interrupted and proposed. Lauren said yes to the proposal, and the couple abruptly left the show.
However, the impromptu proposal didn’t sit well with other cast members, hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey, or viewers. Nathan made an ultimatum with Lauren that she needed to agree to have kids or he would end the relationship. Lauren didn’t want to have children, but Nathan wanted a big family. However, without solving that impasse, Nathan and Lauren suddenly got engaged. Now fans are wondering if the engaged couple broke up after the show or are still together and possibly married.
Lauren & Nathan Are Still Together & Engaged
The Ultimatum cast members who ended up together after the show were keeping their relationship statuses a secret from fans on their Instagram accounts.
Only Alexis Maloney and Hunter Parr made it clear they are still together after the show ended (although it’s unclear if they got married yet).
Lauren, age 30 on the show (show production lied), doesn’t have any Instagram posts with Nathan, 30 years old on the show, in them. Nathan only has a couple of photos with Lauren and they are old pictures before they went on the show. On top of that, Lauren isn’t wearing her engagement ring in any of her more recent photos.
However, the two revealed on the reunion episode that they are still happily engaged. Furthermore, they went to therapy and Lauren has agreed to having at least on child.
Nathan, a real estate developer, and Lauren, a mixologist, did give a new clue to their relationship status the weekend before the reunion. Both Nathan and Lauren shared Instagram stories of them partying in the same boat caravan.
Notably, The Ultimatum co-star Shanique Imari was at the same party. However, her boyfriend on the show, Randall Griffin wasn’t there, fanning speculation the two split after the show ended.
Fans can find out what happened to Shanique and Randall and who ended up together here. The Ultimatum season finale and reunion episode were released on Netflix on Wednesday, April 13.
