Amber Desiree Smith “AD” walked into the pods exuding confidence and caught the attention of two guys on the other side during the dating process of Love Is Blind season 6. She always kept it real in the pods and tried to make sure she didn’t fall into her old habit of dating smooth players and jocks. AD’s determination to find her right life partner resonated with a lot of Netflix viewers. So, who’s AD from Love Is Blind season 6?

Out of all the Love Is Blind season 6 cast members, AD’s journey to finding the one stole the show. Suitor Matthew Duliba looked to be winning over AD’s heart with his claims of falling head over heels for her. However, things turned out to be too good to be true with Matthew. She found out he was saying exactly the same words of affirmation for a marriage proposal to Amber Grant, too. Once she kicked Matthew to the curb — or rather he failed to follow through on his supposed love for her, instead upset the other Amber left — AD refocused her energy on smooth-but-sensitive Clay Gravesande. The two ended up getting engaged by the end of the pods, but things weren’t all rainbows and unicorns out in the real world.

On the show, Netflix says AD is a real estate broker and agent. However, AD’s Instagram shows she had a big career as a model and cheerleader before getting into her current career. She modeled for Sports Illustrated nine years ago, and up until 2020, she was a cheerleader for the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets. She also was a cheerleader for the New England Patriots, in Boston, where she lived before moving to North Carolina back in 2016.

Tragically, AD’s dance and cheerleader career was cut short when she tore her ACL and needed surgery and several months to recover. Her mom came to live with her in her time of need.

She then pivoted into a career in real estate, where she sells lots of homes in Mecklenburg County.

“I cannot stress the importance of finding an agent with a HIGH moral compass. Someone that puts their clients needs above their own personal agenda. Whether you’re a first time home buyer or an owner of multiple properties, make sure the person in your corner is not only knowledgeable, but TRANSPARENT. If you or someone you know is looking to SELL| BUY| LEASE|INVEST reach out to me, I gotchu!”

AD is also big into yoga and she loves drawing too.

She’s also a big advocate and cheerleader for her fellow Black women.

“…For many years we have felt the pain of not being seen for our undeniably beautiful skin, instead we are looked down upon. But right now in this moment we will acknowledge each other! We will uplift each other today! We can see how they portray the black women on the media and what that affect has had on our beautiful black girls. The fighting, the screaming and the judging has run its course. We are beautifully the same,” she wrote recently on an Instagram post.

AD turned 33 last year, and she celebrates her birthday on Nov. 4, which makes her an ambitious Scorpio.

Since the show, AD revealed to People she spoke to Matthew a few times since the show. She doesn’t harbor any resentment towards her former suitor.

“I did have a few conversations with Matthew. It went well. Matthew’s got a very interesting way of getting his point across. And so, I didn’t push, I didn’t pull anything out of him. He said what he wanted to say, and we had our conversation, and we moved on,” she said.
