Compared to Below Deck Down Under season 2 having a bunch of romances, Below Deck Mediterranean season 8 hasn’t delivered any real boatmances. Sure, Bosun Luka Brunton and Third Stewardess Natalya Scudder madeout one night and flirted a bunch before she ended things abruptly to be faithful to her “open relationship” boyfriend AJ. After that, Luka started pursuing Hawaiian Fourth Stewardess Jessika Asai. So, are Luka and Jessika still together after leaving superyacht Mustique and Genoa, Italy?
On episode 8, they shared a moment in the bathroom together and Jessika asked Luka if he was still interested in Natalya. He told her Natalya had too much baggage and he wasn’t interested in her anymore. After that, Jessika and Luka kissed and cuddled in Jessika’s bunk. Episode nine things heated up more between the two on the crew’s party day off.
Although Luka and Jessika had good chemistry while dating on the boat, and both were apparently single, the two didn’t end up together. Boatmances never work in the real worldafter starring on Below Deck.
Luka’s Instagram shows he’s very in love with long-term girlfriend Lorena Peach. Yes, although Below Deck Med season 8 only filmed back in the summer of 2022, Luka’s relationship with Lorena goes back as far as the beginning of 2020. Luka has many videos and photos of him posing very intimately with Lorena, a TikTok star and OnlyFans model.
Are Luka And Jessika Still Together After Below Deck Med Season 8?

On the show, Luka said he had just got out of a longterm relationship and was now single. Unless Luka broke up with Lorena before going on the show, Luka appears to have been with Lorena at the time of filming. Perhaps they went on a break while Luka was away on charter or also had an open relationship. Things are even more complicated because Luka also filmed Below Deck Down Under season 2 in the spring of 2022, and he also claimed he was single then, too, and madeout with replacement stew Jaimee Neale, who was dating Culver Bradburry at the time.
Fans will certainly want answers from Luka on the Below Deck Med season 8’s reunion episode about his relationship timeline with Lorena. They’ll also want to know how things ended with Jessika. That said, on the Below Deck Med season 8 trailer Jessika said, “Me and Luka are just friends. You don’t think so? Fine, we’re [bleep] buddies.” So the two do hook up, but appear to have kept it a casual romantic relationship (somehow we doubt feelings weren’t caught though).

Since the show filmed, Jessika’s Instagram makes it pretty clear she’s enjoying the single life. She lives on Big Island in Hawaii and worked a charter season on a superyacht back in June. However, Jessika did put up a pic of her next to a guy in a boat recently. Perhaps she’s started a fresh relationship that isn’t Instagram official yet.
