Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 stewardess Mads Herrera wasn’t afraid to go after what she wanted and get her needs met while on the show. The south Floridian native started off by making out with deckhand Chase Lemacks on the first crew night out drinking. From there, she thought about pursuing something with other deckhand Alex Propson. Unfortunately for him, he got too drunk the next crew night out and she settled for hooking up with Chief Officer Gary King on Parsifal III. Once that happened it became a situationship, but she never took it seriously and gave Gary a taste of his own medicine at the end of the season. So, what happened to Mads after BDSY season 4?
On the last night out in Sardinia, Italy, Mads kissed Alex and then informed Gary. The first officer couldn’t handle getting played and flipped out, pushing her out of his cabin.
What Happened To Mads After BDSY Season 4

Mads took a vacation in August 2022 after filming BDSY to unwind in stunning Maldives. After her trip she returned home to Florida, before starting a road trip in California with co-stars Chase, Alex and Chef Ileisha Dell. They rented a camper van and rode through Joshua Tree National Park, LA and San Francisco.
In December, Mads flew to Thailand for another trip. She ended up in Bali, Indonesia, then the Gili Islands.
After BDSY season 4 started airing in April, Mads and Chase sparked dating rumors because they hung out in south Florida a few times together, where they both live.
Mads’ Instagram doesn’t show anything else until mid-June, when she and Chase flew to NYC. They explored the city together and appeared on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live. On the show she trashed Gary’s immaturity.
Also in June, Mads and the rest of the BDSY season 4 crew filmed the two-part reunion. On the show, Gary tried to claim Mads was really into him because she kept sleeping with him. She pushed back and made it clear she never took him seriously. She also might’ve got Alex in trouble with his girlfriend suggesting the could be friends with benefits.
Since the recording the show, Mads attended a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert. She also has a new TikTok account, but doesn’t tend to post much content on there or IG.

Throughout the past couple months, Mads has had to deal with online harassment from people slut shaming her. However, she’s also received a groundswell of support from fans who are happy she “Gary’d Gary”. She’s also still close with former co-star stewardess Lucy Edmunds.

Unfortunately Mads isn’t returning to Parsifal III as part of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5’s cast. We’ll have to wait and see what’s next for Mads, but for now she appears to still be working as a yachtie.
