All Love Is Blind Divorces From Show Explained

Divorce is always sad and difficult for everyone, and it was inevitably going to be part of the Love Is Blind world. The two couples who said “I do” on the altar from season 2 both split since the show. It’s been just over a year since both pairs split. Coincidentally or not (think contracts), the two splits happened within four days of each other. So far, all the other couples who said yes have stayed together, though it has been rocky for them at times. It isn’t ever possible to predict if a divorce is imminent or even on the radar. But compared to the divorce rate in America, LIB married couples have a good track record so far, although it’s still early goings. Let’s take a look at all Love Is Blind divorces from the show and where they are now.

Love Is Blind: All Divorces From Show Explained: Iyanna and Jarrette

On the show, Iyanna McNeely and Jarrette Jones struggled over Jarrette’s difficulty choosing between Mallory Zapata and Iyanna. Jarrette even proposed to Mallory before she said no, and Iyanna wasn’t thrilled when she found out. The fact that Jarrette said that Iyanna wasn’t his first choice raised eyebrows as well. Fans also commented on the maturity difference between them. They also raised their eyebrows at Jarrette’s desire to be taken care of. Reddit user heavenlyfarts put it simply when they said, “She’s too successful for him.” They did try as hard as they could to make it work. At one point, Iyanna did praise Jarrette for “the man he’s becoming.”

However, things went south quick. Iyanna teared up in a TikTok video and claimed being married to Jarrette “sucked the life” out of her. But she was quick to shoot down rumors that she had cheated or that infidelity had ever taken place. Jarrette also kindly supported Iyanna when she underwent surgery to remove a painful cyst in April of this year.

However, Iyanna wasn’t that grateful, because she still harbored anger over Jarrette allegedly cheating on her. Later in April 2023, Iyanna claimed on her podcast Feel In The Blank that she received an email and photo of a woman at their place. She still went ahead with the After The Altar season 2 filming shortly after discovering the revelation.

Iyanna says a woman emailed her saying Jarrette invited her and her friend back to their home.

However, Jarrette claims he was just being a nice guy inviting them back for a drink. They then left after they found a picture of Iyanna in the house. Fans will recall Jarrette thought as a married man it would be fine for him to still go out late with his friends to the bar each week while on LIB season 2. Apparently that involved meeting women and inviting them back to their shared home, too.

Iyanna after the split also said that Jarrette didn’t have a growth mindset and that he thought she talked way too much. Jarrette fired back that Iyanna was the closest to infidelity. He claims going to the bar to pick her up and finding her holding another man’s hand.

Love Is Blind: All Divorces From Show Explained – Nick and Danielle

As for Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson, their divorce story is a little murkier, but just as messy. Fans have speculated that Nick being against anti-psychotic medication was the final straw. Nick’s a bit of an off-the-grid guy and Danielle did say during that season’s After The Altar that he was a bit of a documentary-watcher. Lizziewakefield on Reddit pointed out, “Danielle said that Nick did not support her taking pharmaceuticals to treat her mental illness. He became very controlling when she started on her healing journey.”

Other fans claim Nick was not accepting of Danielle in general especially her tendency to party with friends. Simple-Tea theorizes that, “From what we did see, I didn’t feel that Nick accepted things about Danielle. Especially when it came to her partying with her friends.” For his part, Nick says he “wasn’t getting the partnership he needed.” Danielle has countered by saying that there was “no accountability” taken by Nick as far as his part in the marriage breakdown.

However, there have been hints that the couple may have reconnected. Back in May, Danielle said she had reconnected with Nick because “it was so hard to not be able to find comfort with anyone.” They posted a selfie of themselves cuddling together. Both Nick and Danielle have been vocally negative about how they were treated by Kinetic Content, the producers of Love Is Blind. It seems that the show conditions were a factor in their breakup and Danielle’s mental health issues. At the moment, Nick is heading up the UCAN Foundation, and is advocating for better treatment of unscripted reality TV actors like himself and Danielle. Danielle has also criticized the show for inaccurately portraying her panic attack in Mexico.
