Below Deck: Ben And Camille Broke Up After Romantic DR Trip

The Below Deck season 10 boatmance between Lead Deckhand Ben Willoughby and fired deck-stew Camille Lamb sunk after their romantic getaway to the Dominican Republic after filming ended in Saint Lucia. Ben and Camille broke up and parted ways after reconnecting a couple days after the show ended filming in early March 2022. Ben released an Instagram post explaining how they “decided that [our relationship] wasn’t meant to be.”

Despite Ben first releasing a joint statement about his breakup with Camille, he also posted a statement saying he fell in love with her. Ben suggests they had an amazing ten days together in the Dominican Republic together.

“Dominican Republic was something we both needed to say the least, we genuinely had a spark [that was] comparable to that of a primary school crush. Sadly soon after we decided that this wasn’t meant to be and being honest that was a very tough pill to swallow,” Ben wrote in a joint statement.

“We are not together anymore in a perfect world it would have been something of a fairytale. We both organically fell in love with one another and had many, many memories to share throughout this whole Below Deck journey.”

Before that post, he again professed his now-fizzled love for Camille.

“I Had To See About A Girl. Following my heart always has [led] me to where I am now. Camille and I spent ten days in the Dominican Republic and honestly, I fell in love with this wild spark,” Willoughby said in his first Instagram post.

Willoughby purportedly stars in Below Deck season 11, continuing his former dream of being a Below Deck star. This time he worked for Below Deck Adventure‘s Captain Kerry Titheradge, a fellow Aussie.

Since getting fired by Captain Sandy Yawn, Camille is pursuing her songwriting/singing career. The former American Idol contestant released a new single called “Cool Like Me”.

So far Camille hasn’t commented about the breakup. But she’s asking her fans on Instagram to send her questions for a YouTube Q&A video she’s planning to release. She also confirmed there won’t be a Below Deck season 10 reunion episode hosted by Bravo.

Show Star News will update with the latest on Ben and Camille’s breakup.

On Below Deck season 10’s finale, Ben and his online crush and replacement stewardess Leigh-Ann Smith made out and shared a guest cabin together. Ultimately they just talked, according to Willoughby, and he decided he wanted to pursue things with Camille. However, Leigh-Ann revealed Ben and her dated in Florida before he ghosted her.

Leigh-Ann provided receipts on her Instagram documenting their time sharing an apartment together for a month.
