Below Deck Down Under season 2 crew members Harry van Vliet and Margot Sisson had a puppy love starting to develop while working in Cairns, Australia. Deckhand Harry fancied Margot right from the get-go of the two meeting on superyacht Northern Sun. Harry, only age 23 on the show, tried to play it cool with Margot, 27 at the time of filming. However, Bosun Luke Jones aggressively went after Margot, duping her into a first kiss by making her close her eyes. Harry finally got a chance to kiss Margot, quite drunkenly, after Luke opted for an easy hook up with second stew Laura Bileskalne on the second crew night out. So are Harry and Margot still together after BDDU season 2?
After Luke inappropriately invited himself into Margot’s bed — completely naked — and got fired, previews showed Harry and Margot continuing to snog and pursue a boatmance. However, the previews also showed Harry upset, and Margot kissing what appears to be Below Deck Mediterranean alumnus and Second Officer Joao Franco, who replaces Luke as the exterior team’s leader. So, it looks like Margot self-sabotages her romance with Harry due to her not liking nice guys.

Harry left a message on Margot’s Instagram post addressing Chief Stewardess Aesha Scott and show producers stepping in when Luke was naked in her bed.

“We are all here for you and support you Margot, love you [kissing emoji],” the Australian wrote to his crush on the show. Margot didn’t directly reply to his comment. The BDDU season 2 latter half trailer shows their relationship deteriorating due to Margot kissing Joao. It’s likely Harry’s budding romance with Margot doesn’t last.
Margot doesn’t seem interested in dating a nice guy, especially a younger one. On top of that, the two live on the other side of the world. Margot lives in Seattle, while Harry was living and working as scuba dive instructor in Indonesia before he broke his collar bone recently. He then returned to Australia to heal. Unless these two are doing long-distance, which seems highly improbable, they’ve become just friends.

Harry has become a scuba dive instructor working in Asia since the show filmed (Instagram).
Margot also said Harry can be “a bit much” and that it’s a turn off when someone is all over her.
“Dearest Margot, what you went through should never have happened. I am so sorry that you had to go through something like that. I know that since it happened you have been recovering and getting on and living your awesome life which is so great to see considering the situation. Keep pushing through and striving in life, good things are coming your way I know it! Love you always, Harry,” he wrote in an Instagram post after the latest episodes aired of her ordeal with Luke.
“You cheered me up every single day throughout all of this. You should be so proud of the man that you are!! Love you forever and always I am hugging you from a million miles away,” Margot responded.
