Below Deck Sailing Yacht two-time Primary Charter Guest Erica Rose often gets mentioned as the most notorious charter guests to ever charter a superyacht in Below Deck history. However, upon her return on BDSY season 3, Erica’s husband Chuck (Charles) Sanders tried to give her a run for her money when he stepped aboard sailing superyacht Parsifal III. The two, as well as Erica’s mom, terrorized the crew with ridiculous demands and their nasty comments. So, what happened to Erica Rose and her husband Charles after BDSY season 3?
Erica first guest starred on BDSY season 2 along with her girl friends. The group of ladies bickered amongst each other the entire time they were aboard, bullying and isolating one of the ladies despite celebrating women empowering one another. Fans also found it tasteless one of the ladies wore a Trump bikini and Erica exclaimed, “Tatas for Trump.” At least the ladies left an okay tip, despite being a nightmare to serve.
On BDSY season 3, Erica, her mom Cindi and Charles were late to show up because they’d been kicked off a flight for unruly behavior. From there, Chuck repeatedly blasted the five-star food from Chef Marcos Spaziani and almost got in a fight with another charter guest. He also rambled on and rudely barked orders throughout their stay. Meanwhile, Cindi got brown bronzer all over a white sofa and was refusing to compensate to clean it.
In the end, the nightmare family embarrassed their fellow guests. Erica’s hairdresser and husband wanted nothing to do with them after traveling together. Fans also couldn’t believe how the group gave a low $6,500 tip after being some of the worst charter guests of all time.
What Happened To Erica Rose & Husband Charles After BDSY Season 3
Although fans hoped for a round three on BDSY season 4, Erica Rose didn’t return. Erica and Charles also said they weren’t going to ever go back on BDSY after the alleged bad edit they received after supposedly playing up their rudeness for the cameras after prompting from production.
Regardless, Chuck and Erica faced a bunch of backlash from fans, who began leaving a deluge of bad, fake reviews on their Texas-based Rose Sanders law firm. The personal injury and defamation lawyers and former reality TV star charter guests eventually both gave apologies for their arrogant and ugly behavior on BDSY season 3. Charles even cried on a live-stream when apologizing to the backlash on Instagram, and implored people to stop harassing his wife. However, he also told fans that their attacks hadn’t hurt them at all, and that business was actually booming since their appearance on the show. Charles even released a TV commercial of him offering his legal services to Texans.
Since the show aired, Erica and Charles continue to work hard to grow their law firm which offers legal services across Texas. Erica’s TikTok shows how close the two are, working and raising their two daughters together. Erica’s Instagram reveals her Jewish family recently celebrated Hannukah and went skiing in Aspen, Colorado over the holidays. Erica also turned age 40 in 2023.
Chuck and Erica also just celebrated their six wedding anniversary together, too. Erica’s also still close with her reality TV star plastic surgeon dad, Dr. Franklin Rose.
Although Erica said she wouldn’t return for another charter on BDSY, she did say she’s open to go on Below Deck Down Under. That said, it wouldn’t be much of a surprise if the former contestant on the Bachelor changed her mind and ended up starring on BDSY season 5.
