Netflix is re-airing Million Dollar Decorators season 1 over a decade since it first aired on Bravo back in 2011. Viewers are treated to stunning rooms designed by some of the biggest names in interior design from some of the richest clientele in the world. Of course the trendy designs of today differ a lot from those of 2011, but the beautiful decor still wows in 2023. Behind the incredible rooms are some colorful personalities on the show: Jeffrey Alan Marks, Mary McDonald, Martyn Lawrence Bullard, Nathan Turner, and Kathryn Ireland. Here’s everything fans need to know about the Million Dollar Decorators cast and what happened to them.
Jeffrey Alan Marks Broke Up With Ross, Is Married & Has A Daughter
“I have clients all over the world and I don’t get out of bed for less than a million dollars,” Jeffrey Alan Marks says as his tagline on the show. Jeffrey’s Instagram certainly reflects his ritzy and glamarous lifestyle. The top interior designer’s life changed a lot since the show filmed in 2010 and aired in 2011. While on the show his romantic and working relationship with South African boyfriend and project manager Ross Cassidy was documented. However, several years later he married men’s director, stylist and producer Greg Block and they have a two-year-old daughter named James. He also moved from his home on the show to a stunning English cottage in Santa Barbara.
Jeffrey celebrates his birthday on October 8, Jeffrey is a Libra, which explains his excellent ability to fine balance and harmony in his decorating.
“I don’t follow the trends, I set them,” he said on the show. Jeffrey’s website displays some of his more current work which shows he hasn’t lost his magic touch for decor.
“Jeffrey is frequently featured in international design bibles including Elle Décor, Architectural Digest, Vogue Living, and House Beautiful. For more than 30 years his projects have spanned the world, from storied London townhomes to sand-swept Malibu beach compounds, always with one thing in common: a fervor for authenticity,” reads part of Jeffrey’s profile.
“Designed to be lived in rather than looked at, Jeffrey’s classic and tailored interiors stand apart — each layered with personality, timeless color choices, and custom details. He has designed eponymous product collections for Kravet, The Rug Company, A. Rudin, Palecek, and The Tile Shop.”

Million Dollar Decorators Cast: Mary McDonald
Mary McDonald made it clear on the show that “Glamour is everything.”
“I was always interested in design, even when I was 20. I had this apartment with a baby grand piano and all these oil paintings I basically stole from my mother.”
So what happened to Mary in the last twelve years? She’s still dominating the interior design world. She recently designed the decor for the second house of beauty entrepreneurs Jerrod Blandino and Jeremy Johnson.
“We create products that inspire people to live their best lives, so we need our own environments to make us feel like we are living that dream,” Blandino told Elle Decor. “Mary captures that desire so beautifully.”
Mary’s Instagram shows some of her greatest work in the past ten years and her glamorous life traveling around the world for inspiratoin in her decorating creations. She’s also happily married to Peter Webster and they have two kids.
“It sounds repulsive, but I could easily spend $500 million on a house.”
Mary also put together her own decor book, which she likely gave to her co-star Kathryn Ireland as a gift on her birthday in episode one. Her book Mary McDonald: Interiors: The Allure of Style is available on Amazon.

Well she wasn’t kidding, as her website shows her colorful fabric business is still booming twelve years later. She also still has a very close friendship with Martyn Lawrence Bullard.

Million Dollar Decorators: Nathan Turner
Nathan Turner on the show had the tagline “No budget is the best budget.”
He certainly works for clients that don’t seem to care about the pricetags.
“I am California born and raised. I feel very fortunate with my childhood and the way I was raised,” Nathan said in the first episode.
He didn’t plan to be an interior designer. “I got into decorating by accident. I ended up working for an antique dealer, and completely fell in love with the whole business.”
Since the show aired, Nathan became a regular on NBC’s Today show, giving Americans clever advice on home decor. Nathan’s Instagram shows he’s in a relationship with ex studio exec turned interior designer Eric Hughes. Nathan also loves to travel all around the world when he isn’t helping the hoi polloi, rich and famous decorate their homes.
Coincidentally, Nathan also has a book out called Nathan Turner’s I Love California: Live, Eat, and Entertain the West Coast Way available on Amazon.
Nathan’s recent photos in recent years don’t show any photos with his bestie Mary McDonald on the show.
