Netflix’s Dated And Related season 1 was released on the video streaming giant’s platform on Sept. 2, 2022, and had mixed reviews from viewers. Too Hot to Handle star Melinda Melrose hosted the show where siblings and cousins lived in a villa in southern France while they helped each other try and find a romantic partner. Although the show didn’t stay in the top ten for very long, it ranked number four on Netflix’s global top ten for the week of Sept. 5-11. It didn’t crack number one like similar reality TV dating show Too Hot To Handle. But it likely performed well enough to justify Netflix renewing it for a second season instead of canceling it. Although none of the Dated And Related couples stayed together, some became good friends. Viewers really liked some of the cast, especially the identical Parsijani twins, Nina and Diana.

Netflix’s hit reality TV shows Too Hot to Handle and Love Is Blind both took a long time for their second seasons to get filmed and released after the first seasons premiered. Love Is Blind got renewed by Netflix for two more seasons basically right after the first season was a smash hit. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic it took another year before back-to-back filming took place for the next two seasons of Love Is Blind, and then another year before season 2 premiered on Netflix on Feb. 11, 2022.
However, if Dated And Related gets renewed it will likely follow the same timeline as Too Hot To Handle. Both shows cast sexy young singles from around the world to try and find love while living in a villa or resort. Too Hot To Handle season premiered on April 17, 2020. The show wasn’t officially renewed until Jan. 2021, however, seasons 2 and 3 were filmed back-to-back in Nov. 2021.
So Dated And Related fans expect to hear if the show is renewed sometime in early 2023. Meanwhile, filming for seasons 2 and 3 may already have taken place. Production time is faster for shows like Too Hot To Handle and Dated And Related compared to Love Is Blind. Especially now that the Covid-19 pandemic is largely in the rearview mirror. Too Hot To Handle season 2 premiered on Netflix six months after the announcement of its renewal. It was released on June 23, 2021.
So, Dated And Related will likely get renewed in early 2023. And the next season will most likely get released in the early or late summer of 2023.

The location for Dated And Related season 2 could be anywhere where there’s tropical weather. Too Hot To Handle moved from a villa in Mexico in season 1 to Turks and Caicos for the next two seasons. Nonetheless, Dated And Related season 2’s filming location could stay the same as the villa in the south of France (Cannes) from season 1.
Dated And Related host Melinda Melrose still includes the job title on her Instagram profile, another good sign the show was renewed by Netflix. She also recently followed some attractive young singles on Instagram who may be on Dated And Related season 2’s cast. Adiya Henderson is a model recently followed by Melinda. She also has a close sister. There could be a chance the Henderson sisters were casted for the next season of Dated And Related.
If Netflix intends to greenlight Dated And Related it could already have filmed season 2 (and possibly 3). If not, the show’s new season(s) would likely get filmed shortly after New Years.
