A few months ago Shayne had to get off of social media altogether because fans were worried for his mental health. He had an IG Live where he had trouble answering questions and his hair was disheveled and his mannerism were twitchy and nonsensical. Thankfully, Shayne did the smart thing and took a break from social media. When he announced the break, he posted on a pink screen, saying, “Everyone loves a scandal – Shayne Jansen. I’ll see y’all next week or month.” He does post sporadically, but the little we do get is fairly curated. The questions about possible drug use won’t be going away anytime soon.
Shayne has confirmed some drug use, but maintains that he was not on anything while on Perfect Match. On a podcast appearance, he says, “People thought I was doing cocaine. I’m mic’d up the whole time. Everyone would have heard me do it.” He insists he’s just a caffeine addict, having several shots of espresso regularly.

The 34-year-old realtor and Gary Busey lookalike has some happy news for all his fans. Shayne’s a big fan of singers Celine Dion and Shania Twain, who happen to both be Canadian. He and his late mom were also fans of the Canadian sitcom, Schitt’s Creek. It could be that Shayne just needs a trip to the Great White North to cure what ails him. However, he ended up with something almost as good, an invitation to see Shania Twain in Chicago! Shayne said “it’s all worth it now” after this invite landed in his inbox. “All I have to say is this — let’s go, girls,” a clearly overjoyed Shayne shared. The show will take place on July 1st, which just happens to be Canada Day. So far, Celine has not sent an invite of her own despite a funny TikTok where Shayne impersonates her head movements. Unfortunately, Celine is suffering from stiff-person syndrome.

Shayne has no plans to return to the reality arena, which makes sense given how rough his experiences were. However according to his Love Is Blind co-star Shaina Hurley, he has no shortage of romantic prospects. It’d certainly be hard for him to get another shot like the one he had with red-hot Chloe Veitch. However, Shayne’s continued popularity means we certainly haven’t seen the last of him. Perhaps Perfect Match season 2 is in the cards.
