Reality TV star Patti Stanger had her work cut out for her on the first episode of Millionaire Matchmaker season 3. College Hunks Hauling Junk & Moving founders Omar Soliman and Nick Friedman were too young bachelors and best friends looking for Stanger to set them each up with the girl of their dreams. However, Nick’s unkempt hair and rapper talk, along with Omar’s insecurity about women only wanting him for his money, made the challenge hard. So, with Netflix re-airing the episode, what happened to Omar and Nick after they’re appearance on the show and did they end up with Rachel and Dakota?
It turns out Millionaire Matchmaker wasn’t the first time the two buddies made a foray onto reality TV. Nick and Omar appeared on the inaugural episode of ABC’s first season of Shark Tank back in 2009, pitching the sharks to invest in College Hunks.
Although they didn’t get a deal, they ended up laughing all the way to the bank over the past fourteen years. They now have annual revenue of over $200 million, and shark Kevin O’Leary has congratulated on them becoming a major franchise. They also starred on Undercover Boss in 2022, where they dressed up in costumes to work alongside their employees to see how they could improve how they take care of their staff and improve the business.
What Happened To Omar And Nick After Millionaire Matchmaker Season 3
Since the show aired, fourteen years have passed. After the mixer, Nick picked half Puerta Rican Dakota. He picked her up in a convertible and took the beautiful brunette to see the Hollywood sign. However, things soon fizzled out after the show between the two, although Nick did visit Dakota in Puerto Rico.
Not long after starring on the show, Nick met his future wife, Jen Love, who he married in 2013. They now have four young daughters together. Nick celebrated his 42nd birthday watching college football live in Florida. Nick’s Instagram shows he also likes to do standup comedy in his spare time as a hobby.
Meanwhile, Omar’s date with his pick, Rachel, ended up disastrous. He decided in order to see if a girl didn’t want him for his money, he would take her to haul junk with him. Rachel was unimpressed with the ludicrous date idea. Omar was fighting an uphill battle at dinner later, and the two never had chemistry after that. Rachel and Omar follow each other on Instagram, though, and Rachel since married and had a baby, too.
Omar did end finding another special lady after the show, however. He’s now happily married with a young son and daughter. Omar’s Instagram shows he loves to vacation and spend time with family. Him and his best friend Nick are still close, and are running the moving and junk hauling business together. They also recently went into the film business together, funding the first bio pic movie on Jeff Bezos. Nick even acted in the movie.
Nick and Omar also wrote a book together several years ago entitled Effortless Entrepreneur (available on Amazon).
