Love In The Wild season 1 star Erica Scherle tried her best to find a compatible, longterm romantic partner while on the show. She first picked Miles Haefner to couple up with. Unfortunately Miles had his eyes set on Heather Pond, though, and ditched Erica after episode one. From there, she coupled up with Jason Jackson, but there was no attraction there either. Miles chose her again after Adam Rose picked Heather on episode three, but after that Steele Dewald the rest of her time on the show for three episodes. So, what happened to Erica after the show?
Steele and Erica got along well, but he decided to end things. The pro golfer could see Erica getting attached and he didn’t feel strongly enough about her to in good conscience stay coupled up. Erica sadly went home from Costa Rica on episode six without finding the love of her life.
“My ego is definitely bruised. It was on the spot rejection. I think Steele is scared of commitment. I liked Steele. We had a blast together. But then again, I don’t want to be here with someone who doesn’t want to be here with me. There are so many different elements I can take away from this experience. And I’m just excited to offer what I’ve learned here in a new relationship and start something new.

With Netflix replaying Love In The Wild season 1 twelve years after it originally filmed and aired on NBC, fans want to know what’s changed over the more than a decade since for the cast. In Erica’s case, she went back to Nashville, Tennessee, and worked super hard on her career in real estate.

Erica’s Instagram shows she’s been in a longterm committed relationship with her boyfriend and talent agency veteran William Lowery, who owns his own media production company called Brigade Media Capital.
However, before dating Willian, after the show Erica focused on her building her careeer. She left her tough job in musician management and switched into real estate. She’s now a real estate portfolio manager and developer.

In her spare time she loves to watch the Tennessee Titans win at football and spend time with her fur babies, two French Bulldogs. She also enjoys frequently traveling, including vacationing in Turks and Caicos as well as Arizona. It’s great to see Erica living her best life in 2023 since trying to find her special someone on Love In The Wild season 1 back in 2011.
