Jared Pierce of JP on Love Is Blind season 5 fell head over heels in love with kindergarten teacher Taylor Rue in the pods. Before going on the show, JP had trouble having anything more than superficial relationships with women. Instead, he spent a lot of time partying with friends and working hard at his job. He told Netflix’s Tudum he had trouble getting out of his shell. So, who’s JP from Love Is Blind season 5?

JP looks like he’s a bit of a party animal and enjoys drinking with friends. On the show, though, he made it clear he’s ready to settle down and wants start a family.

JP on the LIB season 5 opened up a lot to his prospective future wife, sight unseen, Taylor. He told her about his childhood trauma when is at-the-time “very angry” mom used to trash his sisters rooms and yell at them. He explained what appears to be his mom dealing with the divorce with his father and that he thinks his mom was trying to protect his sisters from making the same mistakes she did.

JP said his mom has since gotten better and that he doesn’t hold it against her. Taylor, who affectionately calls JP “sugar butt”, was there for him as he cried retelling what happened.

JP’s Instagram shows he loves to be the life of the party. Several photos and videos show him shot-gunning beers with friends while poolside. He also has a daredevil, brave side, as can be seen at his job as a firefighter fighting raging building fires. He also has a pet dog and loves the dog that he works with at the fire station. JP works 24-hour shifts at the station and loves his job.

Firefighting runs in the family, as JP’s dad also works as a firefighter. JP also likes bungee jumping and golfing in his spare time. He’s also in good shape and has previously been featured in firefighter calendars.

JP appears to have two older sisters, and is a proud uncle to at least two nephews.

Jared is age 32, with a six-year age gap to his fiancée Taylor. Could JP’s gap between his front two teeth and his awkward silences upon meeting Taylor pose problem for their relationship? Or will these two smitten cast members get married?
