The sassiness towards Dylan started right at the start when Cohen mocked his French sounding middle and last name. Then, only a few minutes into the show, Dylan was stumbling through a question about him trying to kiss Sunny Marquis while on superyacht St. David.

“You know, that’s the best part about life. You can make mistakes… [awkward pause where Dylan tried to find his words] and you know,” Dylan said.

“Is that the best part about life?” Andy said condescendingly.

Dylan then regained his footing and said that Sunny was flirting with him all night, so he thought he should go for it.

Shortly thereafter, Andy asked Dylan why he washes his ham before eating it.

“Uhh, do I clean my eat before eating it. What are you really saying right now?” Andy said mockingly. The rest of the episode Andy continued to act as if he couldn’t understand what Dylan was doing and increasingly made his guest feel uncomfortable.

“Andy can be really mean, I don’t enjoy that,” said one viewer on the Below Deck subreddit.

“Andy had to of known that Dylan was nervous and unsure how to act , and yet Andy made it worse,” another fan pointed out. A lot of other commenters agreed with this sentiment.

“Andy seems like a jerk to me most of the time. I used to be a fan but he does not seem like a nice person anymore,” another added.

“It’s okay, no one laughed at Andy’s jokes. I feel like everyone felt like he was mean. That would suck to be in the audience. Poor Dylan,” yet another viewer chimed in.

Twitter/X users had similar thoughts.

False rumors were swirling a couple weeks ago about Cohen maybe taking an exit package from Bravo after he and the network have faced an onslaught of lawsuits.

Despite Andy clearly being condescending to Dylan throughout the episode, the South African stayed his typical positive self. After the show aired. Dylan posted Instagram stories of clips from his time on the show and remained a gracious guest.

While on the show, Dylan took several opportunities to bash his former boss, Ben Willoughby, though.

“Well, I wouldn’t screw my subordinates… Second, I wouldn’t promote someone based on my actual personal relationship with them, but based on skillset. And number three, I would just be nice to everybody. I would treat everyone equally.”

Hopefully Andy heard that last part loud and clear.
