Another British bloke named Barnaby Birkbeck replaced Tom Pearson after his firing as a deckhand.
It took Glenn Shephard one-and-a-half charters to find a replacement for Tom. Let’s hope it doesn’t take as long for him to find a replacement for Second Stew Gabriela Barragan. Although the preview for the rest of the season already let slip that Scarlett Bentley is Gabi’s replacement. Fans are hoping both Scarlett and Barnaby join the rest of the crew for guest Dr. Kim Nichols‘ charter.
Who Is Barnaby Birkbeck, Replacement Deckhand On Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3
Entrepreneur Barnaby Birkbeck is from London, England. The newest Below Deck deckhand is a serial startup found, creating Funky Face Masks, Barnaby’s Tapcards (personalized metal contact cards), Barnaby’s Brushes (eco toothbrushes) and Electric Car Converts, according to Barnaby’s LinkedIn.
Before being a self-employed business owner, Barnaby got a degree in geography and business management from the University of Leeds.
According to Barnaby’s Twitter, he’s a big fan of “Super yachting, Building Electric Cars, Brushes, Tapcards, Land Rovers, Boats, Labradors, Beer & Humour.”
Barnaby’s hard work ethic has apparently paid off at a young age. He made enough money to recently buy himself a Porsche.
His latest company converts old cars to electric.
Barnaby’s Instagram reveals he comes from a posh UK background growing up. He likes to do kite surfing, sailing, snorkeling, traveling and super yachting.
One Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 colleague definitely got along with Barnaby. Once he was revealed as Tom’s replacement, Ashley Marti posted several pictures with Barnaby hanging out and partying in Miami.
Besides First Officer Gary King, perhaps Ashley has a thing for British lads.
