Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 deckhand Chase Lemacks joins the ranks of other Below Deck stars like Chief Engineer Colin MacRae, Captain Glenn Shephard and Wes O’Dell in owning his own sailboat. “All in the past month, I’ve found a boat, got an offer accepted, actually learned how to sail, took some sailing lessons, I got the boat hauled out and surveyed, and we’ve closed on our purchase,” Chase announced on his YouTube channel, Chasing Grace.
His fellow deckhand Alex Propson helped him shop for sailboats before he found the right one. The two partied the night before, so were hungover while shopping. He ended up buying a 1994 Beneteau Oceanis 510 sailboat listed at $99,000 and has four cabins. A far cry from superyacht Parsifal III, but a beautiful boat nonetheless.
It’s a 51 foot boat, but Chase bought it in rough shape. He plans to revitalize it and had a surveyor tell him everything he’ll need to repair, like a broken refrigerator, hatches and more.
BDSY Star Chase Buys Sailboat, Follows In Colin’s Footsteps
Taking a page out of Colin’s playbook with his YouTube channel Parlay Revival, Chase bought a sailboat fixer-upper and is planning to document his adventures on YouTube. To fund his adventures, the South Carolinian native set up a Patreon for fans to crowdfund him.
Chase didn’t even know how to sail before buying his boat, so he also got sailing lessons he showed in his inaugural video. The graphic for his new YouTube channel shows him and his pet wiener dog, Charlie. Other than Charlie as a sailing companion on the open seas, fans are also wondering if he’s dating stewardess Mads Herrera. The two spent a lot of time with each other in LA, Florida and NYC. Perhaps she’ll join Chase’s crew.
Chase in an earlier video explained he was having a “quarter-life crisis” at the age of 26, deciding he wanted to make a big change in his life.
Hey y’all I’ve bought myself an old sailboat and I’m fixing it up and sailing around the world. If you wanna see the journey here’s the link to my YouTube channel. Please please please subscribe and thanks all!https://t.co/cjbPOQH1BX#belowdecksailng #wwhl

BDSY fans thought Chase was annoying and weird for the first part of season 4. He also didn’t win any points hitting on But his support of Chef Ileisha Dell and his other crewmates, while working on not being such an obnoxious drunk. It also helps that First Officer Gary King stole the spotlight of the undisputed villain of BDSY season 4.
He certainly got along well with the rest of the crew. Chase went on a California road trip to Joshua Tree accompanied by Ileisha, Alex and Mads. He also hung out with Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher in NYC before her appearance on Watch What Happens Live.
BDSY fans will have to subscribe to Chase’s YouTube channel Chasing Grace to see what’s next for the deckhand.
