WARNING: Spoilers ahead. Bravo viewers spotted the Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 crew and superyacht Parsifal III filming the newest season of the Below Deck spinoff show. A BDSY fan posted to Reddit two pictures of the large sailing yacht with crew and film production on June 22, of the vessel docked at Cala Tarida, a Spanish beach resort on the island of Ibiza. Since then, more clues about where and when Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 is filming dropped.
First, a day later on Friday, June 23, the new Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 cast were snapped eating at a restaurant in Ibiza on a crew night out. The candid photos of the BDSY season 5 crew confirmed co-stars Chief Stewardess Daisy Kelliher and First Officer Gary King returned for a fourth time starring on the show. Noticeably absent from the dinner table of the crew night out was Chief Engineer Colin MacRae.

Colin and BDSY production apparently decided to part ways after BDSY season 4, perhaps due to his ill-fated boatmance with Daisy while in Sardinia, Italy. Daisy and Colin’s romance was rocky. Colin witnessed Daisy flirting a bunch with Gary, despite them hooking up. He also felt betrayed by his two friends when it was revealed they had previously hooked up and kept it secret. To top it off, while sleeping in bed with Daisy, Colin heard her call him Gary.

Instead of sailing in Spain, Colin’s just sailed across the Pacific Ocean in his Catamaran and is spending time in the French Polynesia. It looks like Colin will focus on his own sailing adventures and YouTube channel Parlay Revival fulltime now.
Fans will have to wait for the Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 reunion episode to air on Bravo, on July 17, to find out what exactly happened with Colin, Gary and Daisy’s love triangle after the show.
Proof When & Where Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 Filmed In Ibiza, Spain
The BDSY season 5 crew’s night out caught on camera reveals the crew ate at the restaurant La Plaza, Ibiza, which serves Mediterranean cuisine. The restaurant is located in Dalt Vila, in old town Ibiza, a beautiful fortified city next to a small mountain. The majestical walled town includes Roman statues and a drawbridge.
BDSY season 5’s filming location is right in the backyard of Parsifal III’s home harbor in Palma de Mallorca, where Captain Glenn Shephard rents an apartment on the off season. Ibiza is a smaller island of the Balearic Islands in Spain, while Palma is the largest.
Ibiza is famous for its wild electronica club scene and is a tourist party hotspot. So fans can expect some wild crew nights out in season 5. At the start of June, Gary posted a photo on Instagram of him getting refresher yacht training in Palma De Mallorca. Later in the month he mentioned to fans he’s currently in Ibiza.
On July 10, aother BDSY fan visiting Ibiza by cruise ship spotted Parsifal III off the coast of Ibizan village Es Cubells with charter guests aboard.

Bravo’s Real Housewives of Dallas star Tiffany Moon added further confirmation BDSY season 5 is set in Spain. She posted a bunch of photos of her and friends sailing on Parsifal III. They even went to the stunning little island of Formentera on their charter and Daisy now follows Tiffany on Instagram.

Similar to previous years, show production for a new season started before Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 finished airing on Bravo. It appears Daisy, Gary and Captain Glenn all rejoined for another charter season in the middle of June. Filming a BDSY season takes six weeks, so season 5 should wrap up at the end July or early August.
Besides Sardinia, Italy in season 4, Captain Glenn and crew sailed in Spain (Menorca) back in BDSY season 3. The BDSY crews before that sailed in Greece and Croatia for seasons 1 and 2 respectively.
